Femme Fatale
Steve Lawler

A1) Original
B1) Ripperton Remix
The ‘Femme Fatale’ original is captured warmth… It lures and locks you in with warm pads, warm strings and warm bass… Working a musical frame that the title would denote…
The ‘Femme Fatale’ Ripperton remix is forward pushing darkness that still retains the warmth of the original yet manages to make your mind spiral off…
This year saw Lawler return to the infamous Space Terrace in Ibiza as he came back on board as We Love resident for six special shows this summer. Lawler’s recent releases include mix CD ‘Viva Toronto’ out now on Renaissance and his recent EP ‘21st Century Ketchup’ on Dubfire’s Sci-Tec. Forthcoming he also has an EP coming on Marc Romboy’s Systematic Recordings.

Press:
Steve Lawler - Femme Fatale (Ovum Recordings) US
Steve Lawler’s latest is his first for Ovum Recordings in what sees the Brummie go in a deeper direction to his tougher dark drum sound. ‘Femme Fatale’ is an excellent result with deep beats married to a sublime melody in a flowing 10 minute musical epic that highlights how Lawler is never standing still as a producer. Ripperton’s remix is outstanding too not - veering far from the original’s sound and letting the top-line stand out.
****
Traffic Mag Leeds: Its ace and I'm playing this weekend(with Butane) and next weekend with Raresh and Clive Henry.
White night: Both are great !!!! Reviews are not starting yet, only after summer but i will put it in my chart which i have to make for the dutch website : www.beatfreax.nl
